An Esalen Adventure!

I’ve long dreamt of visiting the legendary Esalen Institute whose Big Sur campus sits cliffside amid the mountains and the sea. Friends have raved of the panoramic views of stars filling the night sky, the serenity of the constantly crashing coastline, and the healing natural hot springs that make aches and worries melt away. Renowned for its natural beauty, Esalen is a holistic retreat and educational institute devoted to exploring and realizing human potential for the past 60 years.

The time has come! I’m ecstatic to share the news that I've been invited to teach at Esalen from February 24-27 alongside one of my favorite Reiki people!

Dropping knowledge will be my dear friend and Reiki scholar Dr. Justin Stein, an eminent historian of Reiki history and practice. I’ve attended many of Dr. Stein’s talks, had the great honor of making pilgrimage to Mt. Kurama in Kyoto, Japan with Justin as guide, and am incredibly excited to share this space with him. The Reiki world is so richly informed by his extensive work.

I encourage anyone interested in Reiki to follow his research page and delve into his academic writing. You can also see him speak at the Usui Reiki Ryoho centennial conference in Osaka this Spring.
